Treehouse is the exciting new pyramid game designed by Andrew Looney, the creator of the card game Fluxx.
For 2-4 players, each game last only 5-10 minutes - but you'll want to rack them up again and again each time someone wins.
Each player rolls the custom die to determine if they will TIP, SWAP, DIG, AIM, or HOP their Tree of three pyramids while they try to make them match the configuration of the shared goal called The House. Roll a WILD and you can change your own Tree or The House!
Treehouse is Expandable!
With one Treehouse set you can play Treehouse, plus any of the other single stash games that have been invented for the pyramids. Including: Rotationary, IceSickle, and Tic Tac Doh!
With three Treehouse sets and the little rule booklet called 3HOUSE, you have the rules and enough pyramids to play 3 of the best Icehouse classics: IceTowers, Martian Chess, and Binary Homeworlds.
IceTowers is the game you will most often see us playing with the giant cardboard pyramids at conventions, it's a great game for kids, a quick easy game with no turns! Martian Chess is a game where color does not matter, and as soon as you use one of your pieces to capture an opponents piece, that same piece is no longer yours to control. Binary Homewolds is an epic space battle with pyramids - an awesome strategy game for serious gamers.
With five Treehouse sets (of a single color spectrum) you have enough pyramids to play just about every Icehouse game there is.
The twelve games featured in the book Playing with Pyramids include: Icetowers, Volcano, Zendo, Thin Ice, Martian Chess, Martian Backgammon, Gnostica, RAMbots, Pikemen, Zagami, Homeworlds, and the original Icehouse game.
But what is ICEHOUSE?
Icehouse is a game system. Think of a deck of regular playing cards with which you can play many games (Poker, Go Fish, Hearts, Spades, etc.) Likewise, Icehouse pyramids can be used to play 100's of different games.
If you have never played a pyramid game before, start with Treehouse. This is the perfect game to introduce new players to the pyramids, and it is now the basic unit in which the Icehouse pyramids are sold. There are 10 colors available, 5 in each of the two spectra of Treehouse sets.
